This song is sung from the thief on the cross who asked Jesus to remember him when Jesus went back to heaven, and Jesus' answer to the thief. There were two cricified with Jesus that day. At first both thieves ridiculed Jesus, but this thief changed his mind to believe Jesus was the Son of God, who came to die so sins could be forgiven, The Messiah. The thief didn't think he could be forgiven, and so he only asked Jesus to remember him. :-) But Jesus said, your coming with me today......"this day shalt thou be with me in paradise." What must he have felt like?..:-)
